I don't have an answer for the odd behavior, but I was still so enamored with this model, I picked up a crashed blackbird x10 for next to nothing, $125, super glued the frame and waalaah, away we go. So worse case scenario it should have come back close to where it took off from. That's kind of odd behavior - after getting a new gps home location and after doing the compass calibration, the quad should RTH if it loses the control signal. On a side note this flying camera is no match for the gimbal-mounted camera on the P3S! I'll just avoid any windy days from here out. I'll air test it later but I don't see issues with it flying. All the startup tests look good, it gets GPS lock and motors start right up, video is still good. I let everything air out and put everything back together today. It had one broken prop guard and the battery was completely dead and not rechargeable.

It had been sitting upside down and the GPS dome was basically still holding water with the GPS module sitting in the water. I brought it home and pulled the body case apart and cleaned it up some. It was out there through several big rain storms. My daughter just happened to walk by where it was under a scraggly tree/bush off the trail about 30 feet. Actually found it yesterday after a 2nd air search. Did multiple ground searches covering miles.
